Completion of the new courts is expected to relieve the overloading of last year of the Radcliffe, Divinity School, and Business racket facilities. No longer will it be necessary to sign up for a court several days in advance, as many were obliged to do at the height of the past season.

Varsity tennis should undergo a needed shot in the arm from the new installations, both as a material building factor and for their own use. Special courts may now be allotted to the team, always available for unscheduled informal practice.

First of 25 new tennis courts on Soldiers Field designed to lift the congestion that plagued court enthusiasts last spring and summer will be completed by the end of the month according to the contractor.

Ten of the new courts behind Dillon Field House will be clay, and 15 are asphalt. In addition, by the middle of October, 15 of the old Business School courts will be resurfaced with asphalt.
