Oldest Living Graduate, T. P. Adams '67, Marks 102nd Birthday, Is in Good Health

Harvard's oldest living graduate, Theodore Parker Adams '67, celebrated his 102nd birthday yesterday in Plymouth with a quiet family dinner at his home. With him was his wife, a mere youngster of 75 years.

The centenarian, who arrived in Cambridge in the fall of 1863, is in good health except for a slight deafness and eyesight that is a bit dimmer than of old.

He has made his home in Plymouth since his retirement as master of classical languages at Cambridge Latin School in 1905. Before that he was principal of the Plymouth High School. Since his retirement he has made a second career for himself as a geneologist and historian.

Among his most cherished recollections is that of watching Abraham Lincoln take the oath of inauguration at the beginning of his first term as President in 1861. He was but 15 years old at the time.
