Dolph Samborski's Varsity baseball team, which has been eminently successful this season against all opposition outside Greater Boston, will appear at Hanover at 4 o'clock this afternoon against a Dartmouth nine whose only major triumph to date has come Inside the Hub. Freshman squads from the two colleges pair off at 1 o'clock.
It will be an Ivy League contest involving the Crimson, which leads the circuit with three victories and no Josses, and the Big Green, mired in sixth place with one win in five starts.
Indians Beat B.C.
One indication that the Indians cannot be taken too lightly lies in Dartmouth's 4 to 2 victory over Boston College. The Eagles, it will be remembered, own two victories over the Varsity.
Coach Eddie Jeremiah's team has won only three games in 12 this year, but the Indian lineup is flavored with at least two .300 hitters in catcher Art Young and shortstop John Callagy. The Dartmouth starting pitcher will be either Jim Doole or Bob Amirault.
Jack Wallace, who won a decision over Columbia last week, will be the Crimson mound choice. No lineup changes are expected.
