Two graduate students, John M. Naff, Jr. 31, and Harold W. Smith '45LG, have been awarded Henry Fellowships for study in England during the coming year, the American Trustees of the Charles and Julia Henry Fund announced yesterday. The awards amount to 600 pounds.

Naff, a graduate of the University of Texas, Summa Cum Laude, at present holds a National Scholarship here, and is editor of The Law Review. He will use his Fellowship for study of Jurisprudence at Oxford University.

Smith will devote his year abroad to the study of contemporary poetry at Cambridge. At College he was holder of a National Scholarship, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and editor of The Advocate.

Under the exchange plan two British students will come here to study for a year.

The Charles and Julia Henry Fund Fellowships were established by the bequest of Lady Julia Lewisohn Henry "in the earnest hope and desire of cementing the bonds of friendship between the British Empire and the United States." They were first awarded in 1931.
