Smooth aggressive play and improved teamwork added up to a 10 to 2 victory for the Varsity lacrosse team over a thoroughly outclassed squad from New Hampshire last Saturday afternoon at Soldiers Field. Weak in material and teamplay, the New Hampshire team showed a 7 to 0 deficit at the half.
The combination of Captain Jay Hurley to Dick Bezanson accounted for half of the Crimson scoring us Bezanson poured in five goals in the first half from the corner of the crease after taking Hurley passes. Hurley himself scored once in the second half with the rest of the goals coming on shots by Ned Dewey, Jeff Smith, Hans Estin, and Bob Richards.
The starting lineup had Rogers, Hurley, and Bezanson on attack, Dewey, Estin, and smith at midfield, and Graham, Davis and Forsythe at defense and Allen at goal. Substitutes were: Richards, Bernard, Lange, Abbott, Louria, Page, Dubel, Snow, and Pierce.
