'50 Loses Finale 5-3 to Yale Nine As JV's win 12-3

Ferdy (The Bull) Nadherny may play football on the basketball court, but Saturday on Soldiers Field against the Crimson Freshmen, in their final appearance this spring, he gave evidence of playing baseball on the baseball diamond. His seventh inning triple with two mates aboard paved the way to an Eli victory, 5 to 3.

The Jayvees, meanwhile, crashed through with a 12 to 3 win over the visiting Blue to wind up with a 4 and 5 record for the year. Landon Clay pitched a four-hitter.

In the Freshman game, both sides got a pair of tainted runs in the first. Three walks and one of Myles Huntington's two singles produced a third marker for the Crimson in the second inning and gave pitcher Johnny Hansen a slim lead, which he held until Nadherny's big blow.

The Harvard lineups: Freshmen--3b, Chase; 2b, Huntington; cf, Moffle; rf, Kobusch; c, Crosby; 1f, Glimp; 1b, Lionette; ss, Goldsmith; p, Hansen. Jayvees--2b, Dumas; ss, Adler; 1b, Davis; 1f, Ellis; cf, Connolly; 3b, McLaughlin; p, Clay; rf, Santarpio; c, Strout.
