Jubilee Group Picks May 10 As Dance Date

Committee to Meet Tomorrow To Arrange for Orchestra, Other Weekend Festivities

Definite scheduling of the first full-scale post-war Jubilee for May 10 was announced last night by the Jubilee Committee after its first post-vacation meeting.

Admission charges for the formal, University wide dance will be $6 a couple. The location of the affair has not yet been definitely decided, but the committee announced that it will be held either in the Union or in Memorial Hall.

The program for the event will not be confined to the Saturday night dance alone. Plans are being discussed for obtaining the services of prominent entertainers and for festivities extending over the entire weekend.

Finance Committee Named

More detailed planning for the Jubilee is being undertaken by various committee members before the next meeting tomorrow night. A finance committee composed of John D. Ingram '50, Don S. Sturgill '50 and Mortimer D. Hull '50 will draw up a budget for the weekend, and other committeemen are to investigate the Housing situation in Boston, sign a band for the dance, and arrange the activities for the rest of the weekend.

A chairman for the committee has not yet been chosen, but the Student Council will elect a member of the committee to that position before the end of the week. Tickets will probably go on sale in the latter part of next week.
