Ballots for '47 Class Elections will reach resident Class members in this afternoon's mail, the Student Council announced last night, stating that postcard ballots were sent out two weeks age to '47 men not in College at present.

Scholarship grants to enable needy students to meet their term bill were also on the slate at the Council's regular Monday night session. Robert D. Cross '45, chairman of the finance committee, said that petitions for Council aid must be turned in at the Council office in Phillips Brooks House by 5 o'clock tomorrow.

With University bills due two days after return from Spring vacation, Cross announced plans to hold interviews with the applicants Thursday evening. Council Treasurer Edric A. Weld '46 will assist in the interviewing.

Held to $50 "except in unusual cases," the only limitation imposed by the Council on the scholarship grants is that students must be in good standing academically. "Total fund allocation for the project will be decided by the Council strictly on the basis of student needs," Cross said.

Preliminary investigation of the '46 Class elections, reported as "suspicious" by various Class members, has also been begun by Weld. The elections were held during the war when only V-12 members were present, according to complaints.

"The '46 elections were such a mystery that nobody around here seems to know anything about them," Weld said last night.

Meanwhile the Council announced that it planned to spend "a good deal of the remaining time before the end of the term looking into extracurricular activities and the often-quoted student apathy."
