One of Eliot Houses strongest traditions will be renewed tonight when Archibald MacLeish speaks at the first post-war annual dinner in the House dining hall.
MacLeish, former Librarian of Congress and member of the UNESCO delegation at the Paris conference, will address more than 25 House alumni in addition to the undergraduate members. He will leave for Paris immediately following the dinner, to lead the United States delegation there.

While other Houses have held "high table" dinners at various intervals throughout the year, Eliot has always restricted its festivals to two special occasions, the student-acted play just before Christmas and the House dinner in the spring, on the theory that one or two formal affairs were better than a series of disconnected smaller dinners.
