LONDON, February 14--Britain is going to shed another of her problem children and hand Palestine's woes over to the United Nations.

The decision was announced today at the final meeting with Arabs in the unsuccessful London Conference on Palestine by Foreign Secretary Ernest Bevin who admitted failure in Britain's long efforts to put forward an acceptable compromise between Jews and Arabs.

Under ordinary procedure the General Assembly would not meet until September. The spokesman in talks with reporters outlined the procedure for a special session, however, possibly indicating the line of British thought.

Whether she will recommend a specific plan for Palestine to the United Nations, or merely turn over all the plans that have been suggested without recommendation, may be announced in the House of Commons on Monday.
