Eliot's gird team crushed Lowell yesterday, 13 to 0, and pushed itself up into immediate striking distance of league-leading Kirkland.

After a scoreless first period, in which Lowell failed to score from the Bellboys' one-yard line, right halfback Austie Lyne intercepted a Lowell forward pass on his own 20, and raced for a touchdown.

Further scoring in the first half came a few minutes later, when Eliot's guard Dick Coe decided to do a little sprinting--50 yards worth--down to the Lowell five. Two plays later Fred Ecker crossed right tackle on a reverse, and scampered across the end marker to bring the half-time and final score to 13 for the Elephants.

Rubber Game Nears

Eliot tried to increase its victory margin in the second half, and carried the ball within Lowell's ten twice, only to come up against a solid wall.

Monday's Kirkland-Eliot fracas should decide who will finish the season on top. Eliot has won four, tied one, while Kirkland has won four.

On the other side of the field, Adams edged the Outhousers, 7 to 0.

The sole score came midway in the third quarter, when Carl Linblad passed over center to Hugh Wheelright for ten yards and six points. Whiting put the pigskin between the uprights for the extra point.
