Varsity tackle Howie Houston was rubbing shoulders in the nation's sport pages yesterday with the elite of college football after his nomination as a candidate for the Associated Press lineman of the week.
Job Watson, 223-pound center for Rice, received top honors. He is the third center to be voted lineman of the week this season.
In number of gridiron kills made to date, Houston, with an even 50 tackles spaced over six games, trails Jim Feinberg by one.
