Vandenberg in Primary Fight

WASHINGTON-An indication of Arthur H. Vandenberg's vote-getting powers may be seen Tuesday when the veteran Republican Senator seeks renomination in the Michigan primaries.

Vandenberg, frequently mentioned as a possible 1948 Republican Presidential nominee, now is attending the conference of foreign ministers in Paris. Although he is assured of renomination, the size of the vote he piles up will be watched closely in political circles.

The vote may also show how Michigan Republicans are reaching to the old issue of internationalism vs. isolation on which Nebraska voters demonstrated their feelings so strongly last week.
