With the melting of the February snows comes a hint of spring this morning with the announcement by the H.A.A. of the spring sports schedule for Crimson Varsity and Junior Varsity teams. Baseball leads the list with thirteen games, including two with Yale, while Jaakko Mikkola's track team is entered in five meets, Tom Bolles' Varsity crew will row in three regattas.

Some 75 candidates--"the largest turnout since I've been here," said Coach Stahl--showed up at the Indoor Athletic Building last night for the first meeting of the baseball squad. Coach Stahl explained that Varsity letters would be awarded for participation in the two Yale games, which have been scheduled after the end of the term so as to coincide with commencement exercises at both schools.

The Varsity baseball team opens on Friday, April 19, against Kings Point; then April 20, University of Connecticut; April 27, Tufts; May 1, pending; May 4, Boston University; May 8, Brown at Providence; May 11, Holy Cross at Worcester; May 15, Northeastern; May 18, Dartmouth at Hanover; May 25, Brown; June 1, Holy Cross; June 5, Yale; June 12, Boston University at Riverside; and June 24, Yale.

Junior Varsity baseball: April 27, Exeter; May 1, Andover at Andover; May 11, Exeter; and May 15, Nichols Junior College.

Varsity Crew: May 4, Cornell, Princeton, and M.I.T.; May 11, Cornell, Columbia, Navy, M.I.T., Princeton, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Rutgers at Annapolis; May 18, M.I.T.

Junior Varsity Crew: same schedule as the Varsity.

150-pound Crew: May 11, Pennsylvania, Princeton, and M.I.T.

Varsity Track: April 19, Tufts, University of Connecticut; April 27, M.I.T.; Holy Cross, Rhode Island State; May 4, Yale; May 11, Dartmouth, Yale, Pennsylvania at Hanover; May 18, Heptagonal Meet at Princeton; May 24-25, I.C.A.A.A.A. at Annapolis.
