Wright Predicts New Course Requirements

One General Education course in each of three fields and three additional courses of the student's own choosing will be required of all undergraduates within the next several years, Benjamin F. Wright, professor of Government and chairman of the Committee on General Education, told an audience of Freshmen at the Union last night.

Outlining the plans for application of his Committee's recommendations, Wright said that the new system would not be definitely decided upon until reasonable experimentation had been conducted. The three additional courses were, he added, an attempt to cut across the confines of particular areas and thus brings greater breadth to the individual.
