Appointment of a 1947 Class Nominating Committee was announced by the Student Council last night as it issued a statement seeking evidence from students on alleged injustices resulting from the College's war service credit policy.
Headed by Donald M. Blinken '47, the Committee, representing the class which would now be Senior in normal times, will choose slates of their widely-scattered classmates for elections of officers.
Also on the Nominating Committee, all undergraduates of the Class of '47, are Richard A. Green, James J. Sullivan, E. Barr Peterson, Philip M. Stern, Victor J. Critchlow, and Stephen D. Becker. Thomas L. P. O'Donell and Roswell B. Perkins, both first-year Law students, were appointed as advisors to the Committee.
Will Fix Election Procedure
Election procedure for the Class Day Committee and permanent Class and Class Album officers, normally occurring in the second term, will be set up by the Nominating Committee to meet its unusual situation.
All appointees will automatically appear on the slates along with their own nominations and further nominations by petition f 25 class members.
War Credit Grievances Sought
Seeking further written complaints as evidence for scattered reports that College administration of war service credits is not meeting with student approval, the Counicl last night issued a formal request for all students affected to state their case in writing.
Undergraduates or graduates who have unsuccessfully petitioned for relief from the College ruling that credit for war-time studies must ordinarily be counted as a part of one's college record have been asked especially to describe the circumstances.
It was urged that such complaints be sent to the Student Council, Phillips Brooks House.
