Kenary Shines as Freshman Gridders Subdue Dartmouth

Aerials Account for All Three Scores; Big Green Fails to Threaten After First Period

Sparked by the accurate tosses of quarterback Jim Kenary, the freshman gridders rounded out a perfect afternoon by rolling over the Dartmouth '50s 20 to 0 Saturday afternoon on Soldier's Field.

After a first-ported stalemate, the Crimson yearlings picked up steam when Kenary and don Trimble teamed up on an end-zone pass midway through the second stanza. The second score came after the half, as Al Maggone garnered another Kenary-sponsored pass. Kenary, a 60-minute performer and a dangerous man all the time, added the extra point.

Kenary Passes 40 Yards

The Crimson's final tally came on a 50-yard scoring play, as Maggone took Kenary's 40-yard flip on the ton and scampered the rest of the way to pay dirt, Kenary again converted.

Moflie, Morkle and Craftis gained consistently through and around the Indian line, which was pretty thoroughly outclassed by the Harvard linemen. Dick Guidera played an outstanding game t the left guard slot.

Coach Henry Lamar's charges showed an unusual amount of spirit in their first win of the year. The entire aggregation did a hard, workmanlike job of ball playing and displayed a few talented youngsters who will probably ease Varsity mentor Dick Harlow's burdens next year.
