Putting final touches to its offensive and defensive manuovers, the Varsity eleven concluded full-scale preparations yesterday for its meeting with Rutgers on Saturday, in the first football game over played between the two colleges.

Although Ned Dewey gave the coaching staff a few grey hairs on Wednesday when he sustained a slight injury in scrimmage, the Crimson left tackle is expected to be ready for the Scarlet on Saturday. With George Haupifuhrer fit for duty and Leo Flynn out of Stillman Infirmary, where an attack of intestinal grippe had him under for a few days, the Varsity will be at completely full strength for the first time as it seeks to annex its sixth consecutive victory of the season.

The Rutgers eleven will leave from its New Brunswick, N. J., hideaway this morning and is expected to work out in the Stadium today at 4 o'clock. The Varsity will undergo a light drill in the same arena earlier in the afternoon.

Coach Dick Harlow has made no changes in his "A" eleven during the week, and the outfit which answers the whistle against the Scarlet is expected to be the same as the squad which opened the Holy Cross engagement.

Practice sessions for the past two days have emphasized punt protection, pass offense, and defensive maneuvers against the Scarlet T formation, which has been imitated by Coach Henry Lamar's Freshman team.

In case anybody was wondering, the Rutgers team will wear white jerseys on Saturday. Scarlet and Crimson are as hard to tell apart as Lux and Rinso. (advt).
