Six Harvard astronomers circled the Boston heavens last night in a "flying planetarium" to record the effects of the meteor shower from the comet Giscobint-Zinner.
The group from the Harvard College Observatory fashionad their laboratory form a giant Coast Guard flying boat, which was piloted in last night's operation by Commander Raymond W. Blouts of Whitensville, Massachusetts.
Hoping to calculate the number of meteors, their sped, and their influence upon the atoms of the upper atmosphere, the scientists embarked upon a new form of observation in astronomy.
Working in conjunction with physicals additional experts may also determine the effect of the meteors upon such scientific phenomena as radio and static.
