Jayvee Team Tackles Freshmen Friday for Traditional Encounter

A traditional prewar contest will be resumed on Friday afternoon when the Crimson Jayvee eleven faces Coach Henry Lamar's Freshman eleven, in a game which will give College football afficianados their first opportunity to see the Yardling squad in action. Kickoff time is 2:30 o'clock, and the site will be the fenced-in practice gridiron at Soldiers Field, with admission by H.A.A. participation books.

Coach Chief Boston's Junior Varsity eleven, which is undefeated, untied and unscored upon in its first four outings, rates as a heavy favorite over its Freshman foes, who have yet to chalk up a win. The only home game played by the Yardlings this season coincided with the Varsity's Coast Guard game, so that Friday's appearance will be their first real showing before the homefolks.

Freshmen Improved in Last Game

In their last game, the Freshman team showed marked improvement over previous outings, holding a favored Exeter squad to a scoreless tie. The Lamarmen emerged in fairly good shape from that engagement, although halfback Don Trimble may not be available. Harry Moffie, another of Lamar's first-string backs, who missed the game with the Exonians, may be ready for the Jayvees.
