Coach Henry Lamar will lead a far-from-demoralized team up to Exeter today as the Freshman forces seek their initial win in three starts this season. Though defeated by Andover and the Holy Cross Jayvees, Lamar said that the team had lost none of its spirit, has just recently begun to function smoothly as a unit, and has had the feeling all along that they should have won both of the contests they dropped.

Prime objective of the team will be to make their ground attack click--a weak factor in the offensive thus far, but one which Lamar deems essential before their standout passing can be counted on as a real threat.

Must Gain on Ground

"You can't pass on every play," said the coach. "We'll try to make our running game go; then we'll hit the passes." Lamar added that in two games, passers Jim Kenary and Bob Parker have completed 17 out of 36 aerial attempts, which he considers a pretty fair average.

Lamar praised the line play of the team, pointing out that the Holy Cross touchdowns came on long passes and interceptions, and he estimated that the forward wall had yielded less than 50 yards all season.
