Still recovering from the shock of having no report due after last week-end, we march fearlessly forward in our expose of the lives and loves (questionable) of the Mid-off boys.
The June-time nuptial column finds "Shaky" Michaels adding his name. The senior dance, a rousing success, was marked by a noticeable absence of juniors. Let's hope the attendance picks up on June 9, when the "in between" class throws its ball.
As it is, the senior class can be justly proud of its much-postponed affair. Combining a little music, more laughs, much liquid, and a spot of more or less extra-curricular entertainment in the form of a quartet, two vocalists, and a few words from "the Moose," those who attended walked away contented.
Dancing around, we could see Abe Zalezuik showing his frau-to-be who everyone was. Ted Marchese and Dick Shellenbarger were there-with dates, thereby disproving a popular theory.
"You people" Puckett and his buddy Porter showed up with queens, and we caught a glimpse of Bruno Tiz making mad love to his date. The good doctor Richard is said to have been responsible for the several Wave dates present.
We spotted the many married couples, but highest on the list were Ann Murray and husband Bill. Not far behind were the Steins, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Seltzer-and his Mrs. seemed to be "sent" by the Alura boys. Bill Stark and friend Jim Smith liked the dance so well that they stayed until 3 A.M.-at the dance, we mean, Smitty's girl, or so sayeth D. Staff, has her eye on the current best seller, "Psychology of the Southern Man."
The track claimed many of our company 4 notables-purely for the purpose of watching. . . . Speaking of the track, diminutive Roland Sink ticked of a 4:25 mile over a mire-laden track to cloud James Rafferty, ex N. Y. U. sensation, and turn in the top performance of the day in that event. The win, a full five seconds under the best IC-4A time, gives NSCS one of the three top collegiate milers in the country.
Norm Schulz, our Beaver Crossing buddie, played well the role of spender this week-end, and threatens to eclipse even old millionaire T. B. Perry for top honors in the greenback delivery campaign. We'd bring up the the name of gentleman Joe Sydnow, but his ever able blush might catch the place afire.
