The recent snow has again given the boys (accent on the first syllable) on the fourth deck new life. The not-to-be-divulged exploits of Kirby G. (for Gadabout) Pickle and Randolph C. for a middle name that he won't discuss) Phillips took a turn for the better after our return shavers left the Boston Buddies Club . . . little hot around here boys?
Sitting over here in Chase we can watch the "hard-working" Juniors doing all of their midnight oil burning. From the looks of things Sunday night, the boys had a big weekend. With Hillman Mitchell's radio passing around from Bennett Nielson to Jim "Cadence" Polhemus, it keeps the boys jumping . . . and wondering.
Heard Shellenberger, Yermak, Young, and Zaleznik spent their usual Saturday night a la Hotel Avery. What's this about the girl that smokes cigarettes and chews gum at the same time?

Available, four midshipmen for Saturday night dates. These men have access to a supply of cigarettes you never even dreamed existed--That is all! These men have just completed an 11-week booking at the Globe Theatre as spectators.
Last week's regimental dinner paid fitting tribute to a man we midshipmen met at Lido Beach, and a man who holds something more than our respect, Lt. Commander Salmon. He was both an inspirational commanding officer and a gentleman. If your men were your commanding officer, Sir, they would say, as you so often have, "Well done." Smooth sailing, and good luck from the youngest of your past commands.
It was the Shangri La's busiest customer, J. Tillotson, who commandeered a taxi and rode full upon his "charging steed" to the distant abode of a grateful damsel, bade her a quick adieu, and then disappeared into the stealth of the mushy--by virtue of the weather--night. For such valor, above and beyond the call of chivalry, we nominate James Tillotson, the man of Brown, for the coveted title, "Pigeon of the Week.
