A gray fox was recently presented to the Bronx Zoo by an up-State Italian farmer. The zoo's veterinarian remarked about the fine condition of the animal and asked the farmer, "What have you been feeding him?" "He eat the spaghett--lotsa spaghett. Slop like for the pigs, too," the farmer replied. The veterinarian said he never saw a better fox, according to Animal Kingdom, the Bronx Zoo's bulletin.--N. Y. Times, May 11, 1944.
