GAEBLER MADE MINISTER HERE

Max D. Gaebler, who won his A.B. cum laude at Harvard in 1941, was ordained and installed as Unitarian minister to students in Cambridge last Sunday night. Gaebler has completed his studies at the Divinity School and will receive his degree when the board meets.

Gaebler will be in contact with about 500 Harvard, Radcliffe, Wellesley, and Tufts Unitarian students.

A unique feature about Gaebler's ceremonies was the presence of Hugo Mantal, a Jewish rabbi, on the ordaining council. Mantel, formerly rabbi of a Cambridge temple, is now at the army chaplains school here and participated in the rituals at Gaebler's request and with the agreement of the church authorities. At their most liberal, ordaining councils usually merely contain Christians of various denominations.
