After outplaying Camp Edwards for the first ten minutes of the basketball game Saturday and leading the soldiers 12-11 and the end of that time. Harvard went down 74 to 35 before the dead set-shots and superior height and experience of Edwards.
The Crimson was playing without the services of Captain Dean Hennessy, whose place was filled by Dave Loring. Loring and Dick Warren both stood out in defeat for the Stahlman by virtue of their offensive worth.
The soldier five was led by Fred Smith, their center, and Stan Ward, a forward. The former stands six feet and six inches and the latter played on last year's good Cauisius team. Each scored 18 points.
Tomorrow night the team will play lost to the Boston Coast Guard in a return match. The Coast Guard took the first game by a 46 to 32 margin.
