Somewhat improved over last week's showing against Tufts, the Varsity football team held the heavier and more experienced Brown eleven to three touchdowns in the scrimmage on Soldiers Field Saturday afternoon.
Doc Savage, the Bruin tailback and sparkplug, made most of the difference between the teams, being personally responsible for the first two scores, although the third came after he had been forced to retire with a leg injury.
Backers-up Strong
Harvard's line actually seemed to outplay the visitors, but this was due in large part to the tremendous play of Swede Anderson and Ed Donovan, who form the best pair of backers-up to bolster a Crimson defense in several years.
