For many weeks now a group of seniors has been hard at work on an activity, the outcome of which we all await with interest. We are referring to the year book. "The Rough Roll." At the present time it may not seem too important, because we are now in daily contact with all the people and scenes which it will recall to mind in the years to come. In that future period, though we may think otherwise at the moment, we will be interested in the men who are now undergoing the same ordeal that we are. In those dim and uncertain years we will derive great satisfaction from being able to refer to our won "Rough Roll" when we run across ship-mates in other circumstances.

Any senior who has not as yet subscribed should seriously consider doing so right away: and perhaps there are a few juniors who may be interested in following the careers of present members of the senior class. If so, they are welcome to subscribe, also.

Hight now, a campaign in under way to collect money from present subscribers. Many officers are not cooperating quite as whole-heartedly as their might. The year book is a business enterprise. It costs money and the bills incurred in compiling it must be paid. It is true that the price is a little higher than was originally anticipated; but there are fewer copies being printed this time and the staff did not feel that it could sacrifice quality. Hence the total price of printing, engraving, etc. must be divided by a smaller numbers of copies and that can only result in a higher unit cost. So, let's make the best of it and pay up cheerfully and, above all, promptly.

Now a word for both seniors and juniors: the Glee Club will probably get under way again in the near future. For the juniors benefit, we may say that it was a really top-notch organization and, with the present senior nucleus, should continue to progress. But a lot of juniors are needed both to round out the present group and to provide a basis for future groups. When the call is given we hope that a large number of juniors will respond. Singing is hard work; but there is an awful let of fun in it, too, as any member of the club can testify.
