Adams House copped both of its opening games with Dudley to lead the inter-House league at the end of the first two days of competition. Lowell and Dunster split, both tilts being decided by one run.
The Gold Coasters pounded out nine runs in their first baseball game on Wednesday to two for the Commuters and walloped the non-resident boys again in softball yesterday, 18 to 6.
In a softball game on Wednesday which the Funsters won 8 to 7, the Bellboys from Lowell staged a three run rally in the last half of the last inning to no avail; but they came back in the baseball game yesterday to nose out the Funsters, 4 to 3.
A league trophy, to take the place of the usual Strauss Trophy, will be awarded to the champions of each trimester and permanently after the war to the House which wins it most often.
