Let it never be said that there is ever a dull moment at the Statistical School. For example, the most important news of the week is the transfer of Lieutenant Carlton L. Ericksen to San Antonio, Texas. Lieutenant Ericksen has been attached to the Statistical School since last October, acting as Physical Training Officer, Assistant Adjutant, and Adjutant, plus many other duties. While at the statistical school he had proven himself to be an efficient officer and a good friend to all the students. The faculty, cadre, and civilian personnel will miss his big-heartedness and friendliness.
Captain Jackson W. Lord, one of the first graduates of the Statistical School, has been designated. Statistical Officer and Executive Officer, while Lieutenant Edgar Y. Kelsey's duties will be those of Adjutant. Lieutenant Joseph Bruansky has been transferred to this detachment from Seymour-Johnson Field, Goldsboro, North Carolina and is to serve in the capacity of Physical Training Officer.
T/Sergeant Donald F. Peters has returned from his furlough in Texas and is awaiting orders transferring him as an aviation Cadet. While in Texas he took care of one important item, namely becoming engaged to Miss Helen Wood of Tyler, Texas, the culmination of a necessarily long "air mail" romance.
