Saturday evening, April 17, Is a date to keep in mind because, as plans are shaping up, it's going to be quite a party. Major Fay is General Chairman assisted by Mr. Guy Worsley, Captain Pellow, and Ensign Balley. The general idea is to have a good time: there will be dancing, refreshments, games, and entertainment. The big innovation, however, is that the students are going to entertain the faculty (turn about is fair play) and the rest of us. Some of the faculty members, as well, are going to participate. Mr. O'Gorman would like to see anyone who is interested in music of any kind--jugs, abocs, singers, black-face acts--anything that would be entertaining. This party is primarily for you so if you have any talent, don't be bashful, contact Mr. O'Gorman, or apply to Room 324, Cruft Laboratory.

There will be a list posted on the bulletin boards of Pierce and Austin Halls some time next week so you can sign up with your party. All members of Engineering 270, 800, Soil Engineers, and the stafis together will their guests are cordially invited. It will be held at the Harvard Faculty Club on Quincy Sthreet from 2000-24000, April 17th. There will be a charge of 50c per person to defray expenses.

CASH IN SPARE TIME

Navy men have apparently reached the status of conservative and trustworthy individuals. Some well-intentioned lady started the Navy office the other day by asking if there were any officers that would care to mind babies at night of course she would pay them. Veoman Brill, after a hurried conference with Ensign Coffee, thanked the lady very much and told her that we were rather busy most nights. Relax fellows. They were actually infants.

RAIN DANCE

Anyone passing Austin Hall about 1650 last Wednesday afternoon would have seen rather a strange sight. There were mutterings, incantations, and hope ful glances at the sky, but alas! No rain. Hopes were rudely shattered when the inevitable command "Fall in" was given. Oh well, marching is fun so some people say.

Question of the week: Why is it that every time you're late for a Laboratory Conference of Austin, you rush in only to find it has been changed at the last minute to Botanical Nash?
