Shifting Bond Laurels Go to Kirkland Buyers

Determined to have their share of the honors recently passed about the Houses as the lead shifted from Gold Coast to river front, Kirkland's Deacons last week supported the Second War Loan with stamp and bond purchases totalling $264.65.

Only other House in the three figure class was Winthrop, but the P. B. H. sales committee pointed out that the per capita figure, now listed at 38 cents, has increased five times in the past few months. Since the individual high-buyer for this week will receive an autographed picture and personal note from Hollywoodite Joan Leslie, the steady increase is expected to continue.

Results from the six trailing Houses were as follows: Adams, $70.45; Dunster, $34.75; Eliot, $52.90; Leverett, $16.85; Lowell, $24.45; and Winthrop, $213.85, giving the College a week's total of $667.90.
