Election of 40 new members from the Classes of '43, and '44 to the Harvard Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa was announced last night by Society officials. Twenty-seven men were chosen from those who have already received Harvard degrees, eight from those who, with 12 course credits, have acquired Senior standing, and five from those with ten to 12 credits.
