Springfield Edges NTS Five by 58-55

Saving its reputation with a last minute comeback, the Springfield College basketball team trounced the NTS stalwarts last Saturday by the close margin of 58-55. The winning points were scored in the last four minutes, overcoming a seven-point lead that the players from the Yard built up in the last period.

Starring for the Student Officers was center Pauler, who with 22 points was high-scorer for the game as well as for the Naval squad. He was closely followed by right-forward Nechtem with 19 points, and left-guard Vocke with nine.

To date, the Harvard NTS record is ten wins, 5 losses, which is not as clean as Springfield's record of 11 straight victories, but still is plenty for the School to be proud of. Tomorrow night, the team will travel to Lynn for a contest with the Y. M. C. A. On Wednesday, it will compete in the National Pro Tournament at Worcester.
