A fairy tale?
Once upon a time a handsome young CPA who knew his own mind (as all CPA's do know their own minds) decided that he should find a wife. So the handsome young CPA haunted office buildings and office buildings. Knowing his figures so well it wasn't long before he found exactly the right girl. She was pretty, but not too pretty. She looked up at our here and worshipped his fine mind. She was apt to say at intervals (to his secret delight) "Darling, you are so right!"
This happy couple had a whirlwind courtship; they went out to dinner and auditing practically every night . . . (they did not play the ponies!)
Finally they were married and lived very happily in their snug little cottage near the trolley, which took him quickly to his office.
One fine evening the handsome young CPA informed his little wife that statistically speaking there ought to be a CPA Jr.
"Darling, you are quite right," said she, as she began to knit little blue sweaters.
But the three fates who were playing around with nothing much to do that year, cackled derisively and agreed to mess things up a bit. They would see to it that a son was born, who would be a source of misery to thousands.
One dark night in an even darker forest they could be seen stirring a black potion made up of vouchers, pay receipts, money requisitions, cash books (etc.) and a magic liquid. This they managed to slip to the pretty, but not too pretty, intelligent but not too intelligent wife of the handsome young CPA in the form of a cooling daquirl cocktail.
"Double and double Toil and trouble"
cackled the three fates, their work done, thinking fiendishly of the thousands CPA Jr. would harass.
The next day, the pretty, but not too pretty, intelligent, but not too intelligent young wife gave birth to a perfect specimen of manhood. The handsome young CPA Sr. announced that the perfect baby would be named a fine steady name--John Adams Hancock to haunt pretty, but not too pretty, intelligent, but not too intelligent (etc.) young WAVES of the SC.
