THE MAIL

To the Editors of the Crimson:

Despite the Crimson's constant publicity I wonder if the main body of graduate and undergraduate, Army and Navy students has yet taken seriously the opportunity to give blood to the Red Cross?

The Harvard man who goes to this cheerful, almost gay, "place of business" will get a great deal of pleasure out of his trip. He'll enjoy answering the receiving nurse's query: "Another Harvard man?" Although Harvard students are already giving liberally, why shouldn't there be a response which would make Harvard conspicuous by her complete cooperation? Students who have no money of their own and little spare time have the opportunity here to give something of their own.

The Red Cross center is right at Copley Station, only fifteen minutes from here. The performance is painless and only takes an hour. What could be more simple?

If you're overweight, underweight, or for some other reason have hesitated to make your contribution, hesitate no longer. Very frail people are giving their blood regularly every two months with no ill effects!

Anyone not actually on the battlefront must constantly wish they were contributing more to the war effort in these critical days. Here is one of the linest chances to fulfill the wish.

A tremendous and continuing response by all students connected with the University would be one more way of serving notice to the world that Harvard is not "sitting this war out."

Why don't you make your appointment today? Thomas K. Wave 1G.B.
