Harvard got another chance to display its photogenic qualities yesterday, this time on official business, as a group of Government photographers invaded the University to film shots of Navy marching and such typical subjects as John Harvard's statue and Memorial Chapel.
A group of five technicians, captained by Francis D. Lyons, a past associate of many motion picture companies in America and England, was sent out by the OEM Film Division.
After immortalizing John Harvard, the quintet took shots of Memorial Chapel, taking due care not to spoil the Yard's business-like atmosphere by including feminine students or men lying on the grass. Later subjects were the Navy in the Yard, boxers on the Athletic Field, and the Harvard Yenching Institute.
