Honoring the memory of the late Louis Cons, professor of French Literature, the Crimson Network last night broadcast a special tribute in which both students and Faculty, including Professor Cons' former friend and colleague, Andre Morize, professor of French Literature, took part.

"He had one thought, and only one thought," said Professor Morize of his colleague, "namely, that the day is to come when the immense efforts of the allied nations will bring about the victory of freedom, which for him, as for us, spells the liberation of France."

Stating that sorrow had in a large measure caused the death of Professor Cons, Professor Morize declared that, "Strictly speaking, Pierre Laval has murdered Louis cons. But," he added, "we have lost neither his example, nor his inspiration, nor his guidance."

Sorrow Caused Death

Eric Larrabee '43 said of Professor Cons: "I thin everyone who has taken his courses will realize how hells, in a very literal sense, irreplaceable. They were completely his courses because everything in them meant a definite something to him."

Also taking part in the tribute were Howard C. Rice, Jr., instructor in Romance languages, J. D. M. Ford, Chairman of the Department of Romance Languages, and Richard P. Kleeman '44, Program Manager of the Network, who interviewed Professor cons two days before his death.
