Eight more men became members of the 1942-43 Student Council When the nine popularly-elected members yesterday made appointments to fill the regular quota and to even up representation of college groups.
Juniors, numbering five were: John W. Morgan, of Kirkland House and Covina, Calif., and end on last fall's football team; John Richardson, of Winthrop House and Milton, chairman of the Council's Elections Committee;
Paul C. Sheeline of Winthrop House and Newton, president of the CRIMSON; Joseph C. Scott, of Leverett House and Cambridge; and Adam Yarmolinsky, a member of the CRIMSON and the Liberal Union, from Dunster House and New York City.
Three Sophomores Appointed
The three Sophomore appointees were Brooks N. Heath, who commutes from Auburndale; John P. Kennedy Jr., of Eliot House and Charlotte, N. C.; and George A. Saxton, of Eliot House and Short Mills, N. J., who was chairman of the Union Committee last year.
Election of Council officers, which ordinarily would take place immediately, has been postponed until next Wednesday because of Divisionals and Senior generals.
Half From Two Houses
Of the total membership of 17, two Houses have nearly half of the total representation, Winthrop and Adams with four apiece. Eliot and Dunster claim two each, while Lowell, Leverett, Kirkland, the Commuters and the Out-of-House groups have one delegate each.
Elections this year have been held a full month ahead of the constitutional date to keep in tune with quickened curriculums.
