Prices. Wages to be Fixed

WASHINGTON--President Roosevelt and Congress tonight were heading toward an early decision on sweeping new controls over prices, wages and war-profits to combat inflation.

The President and his fiscal advisers are said to be near agreement on an overall plan which would touch the economic lives of every man, woman and child in America. It reportedly would freeze all commodity prices, license wholesalers and retailers, call for billions in new taxes beyond those sought in the pending $7,600,000,000 Revenue Bill, tie wages to the flutuating cost of living and virtually eliminate installment purchases.
