This summer, all Radcliffe girls will be urged to do something constructive, either studying or doing something to help with America's defense. As many as possible will be asked to take the places of Vermont and New Hampshire farmers who have been called to the colors and help take in the crop.
Farming is not an original idea with Radcliffe but will be tried out all over the country this summer, in both men's and women's colleges. The plan is based on the system now in operation in England where women take their husbands' and brothers' places at machines and in the fields. The same project was practiced in the last war.
