WASHINGTON--A lone Jap raider which struck at 3 o'clock Wednesday morning bombed Henderson Field on Guadalcanal and caused "some personnel casualties," the Navy announced today.
The extent and nature of the casualties, whether killed or wounded, was not disclosed. But it was evident the airdrome itself was not impaired for Army Aircobra fighters took off the same day and made a retaliatory raid against enemy ground positions.
