WLP Broadcasts To Mather Today

Leverett Station to Offer Classical Music for Study

Offering "music to study by," station WLP will take the air at 2 o'clock this afternoon in Mather Hall of Leverett House with an inauguration ceremony describing in guarded terms the history of the organization.

The first regular program will be a frequency modulation rebroadcast of the Philadelphia. Symphony Crchestra's concert under the direction of Eugene Ormandy from the Philadelphia academy of Music, and will continue until midnight with classical music for the Mathermen. The station lacks enough power to be heard in McKinlock across the street.

Competes with Football

In keeping with its policy of trying to boost backward Bunnies up to Dean's List, WLP will attempt to meet the distraction of the football game with Army tomorrow afternoon by offering more classical music. However, the powers that be in this newest radio station are conceding that Saturday night is not the time to study with the aid of the musical muse, and are going off the air at 5 o'clock.

After the Philadelphia broadest this afternoon, WLP will present a recorded session featuring E. Power Biggs playing Bach on the Baroque Organ.
