WASHINGTON--President Roosevelt, just back from a trans-continental war inspection tour, tonight criticized Congressional failure to meet his Oct. 1 deadline for enactment of anti-inflation legislation.
Though Congressional leaders expected to have an acceptable bill on his desk by the end of this week--possibly tomorrow--Mr. Roosevelt was critical of the delay. He pointed out at a press conference that Congress has been working on the legislation for three weeks.
