Smith College Fans Given Various Traffic Penalties

Fifteen wayward sons of Harvard, Amherst, and Dartmouth turned up in the Northampton Court House yesterday morning at 9 o'clock to receive the dictum handed down by the elderly, slightly myopic judge.

Most of them paid their fines, ranging from $15 for speeding to $40 for resisting an officer, four-in-the-front-seat, and like crimes, but several pleaded not guilty and will be tried later.

One unfortunate prisoner who had had some unpleasant dealings with the ball commissioner the night of his arrest was chagrined to discover that his adversary had metamorphosed into the Clerk of Court.
