The Student Union will begin a door to door canvas throughout the College tomorrow in an effort to secure at least one thousand signatures to a petition addressed to the President of the United States. The petition begins, "We won't be convoyed into war!"

The petition drive is part of a national campaigns to solidity peace sentiment between now and the President's "momentous" pronouncement on May 27th, Student Union leaders feel that the President's last speech was postponed because of the reluctance of the people to support the administration on convoys.

David Bennett '42, president of the H. S. U., told the executive committee that the unexpectedly huge attendance at the Peace Strike should make one thousand signatures an easy matter, and he pointed out that 1100 Princeton men signed it last week.

At the same time that the petition drive was begun the executive committee announced that it was preparing its second annual series of awards for classroom generals, Faculty members to be decorated for distinguished service in getting America into the war.
