Nomination of Robert A. James '41 as Chairman of the Class Day Committee heads the list of Senior appointments to carry out the various functions for Class Day week from June 15 to 20.
Peter Macgowan '42 will be in charge of the Junior Ushers while E. Langdon Burwell '41 will assume the duties of Treasurer. Candidates for Ivy Orator will compete for the position on May 22, the winner being selected by Judges Frederick C. Packard, Jr. '20, associate professor of Public Speaking, Eliot L. Richardson '41, George H. Hanford '41. Thomas F. Donahue '41, and Robert James.

The Baccalaureate Services in Memorial Chapel and President Conant's reception for the graduating class afterward will open Commencement Week on Sunday morning, June 15. On the following day the Senior Spread, under the guidance of Chairman Thomas F. McGann '41 will take place in Lowell House to the tune of a yet unselected orchestra.
Class Day on Wednesday, June 18 brings the class together for the Triangle Exercises in the area enclosed by Kirkland, Eliot, and Winthrop Houses. Following the opening prayer in the morning, the audience will hear Orator James J. Pattee '41, Poet, Thomas Lacey 2nd '41, and Odist Bancroft G. Davis '41.
Seniors Become Alumni
After a slight intermission for lunch, the graduating class will march from the front of Eliot House to the Stadium for the afternoon exercises in which the Alumni annually welcome the Seniors to the ranks of graduates. The Harvard-Yale baseball game, an evening concert in the House Triangle to be arranged by Elliot Richardson, and the Class Day dance organization by Sheldon Dietz will conclude the day's activities.
The Senior Class Chapel Service and Commencement Exercises on Thursday and the Phi Beta Kappa ceremony on Friday will highlight the last two days of the week.
