Baseball Team Aims To Break Jumbo Jinx

TWO DAY SERIES WILL OPEN TODAY

Attempting to break the three-year Tufts wining streak, the Crimson nine will take the diamond this afternoon in the shade of the Soldier's Field Stadium for the first of a home-and-borne, two game series against the Jumbos. The greatly improved home forces are rated a good bet to hobble the Elephants.

Coach Floyd Stahl will start the same team that won two games and lost four since the Spring vacation, with but one exception. Bill Parsons, who was a second-stringer behind the plate until the B.U. game last week, will again go out into the right field spot, taking ever for Oscar Hansermann. Parsons won this regular position for himself by his effective hitting in the pinches. Elis double in the tenth was decisive in the extra-inning upset of Columbia last Saturday.

Tufts' veteran mentor, Judge Kenneth Nash, who has coached at Medford for 21 years, will field a team of seven letter men and two very good Sophomores, Zake Shapiro, at first and Howie Redgate at short. However the Jumbos sorely miss last year's ace burley, Hatch, and have lost four out of their five matches thus far this season.

The Yardlings clash with Worcester Academy in a tradition contest at Soldiers Field at the same time as the Varsity game. Only one change has been made in the Freshman lineup which has won six matches and lost three this year. Cleo O'Donnell, who has been playing Spring football, will take over the right field post from Al Reeves. HARVARD  TUFTS Keyes, ss  cf.
