Mort Waldstein will return to the mound as the Stahlmen go lion-hunting for their first legaue victory against Columbia on Morningside Heights this afternoon.
Despite a dreary record of seven losses and only one win, the Columbia nine promises to offer the Crimson some four-bell competition. Last week they showed their true form by eking out a 4 to 3 upset win over the Hanover Greenskins and holding the league favorites from Cornell to a narrow two run margin of victory, 9 to 7.
Berndt Lindgren, who was instrumental in the Lions sneak-victory over Dartmouth, will again be on the mound this afternoon for the Blue.
Out to break a three-game losing binge, Coach Floyd Stahl will field his regular lineup as follows: Bob Regan, catcher; Bill Tully, first; Bart Harvey, second; Freddy Keyes, short; Gil Whittemore, third; Lou Clay, left field; Bill Parsons, center field; and Ed Buckley, right field.
The Lion batting order will include veterans Bill Hasslinger at first; Phil Lewerth at second; and Ken Pill in left field.
