Coach Clark Hodder struck the telling blows which sent his own Crimson golf team down to an 81/2 to 61/2 defeat at the hands of the Framingham Country Club outfit on a windswept Framingham course yesterday afternoon. Hodder played number three for Framingham, nosed out Gerry Davis 2-1, and combined with Lord to win the best ball from Davis and his partner at number four, Bill Allis, by a 3-1 count. Lord beat Allis 3-2.

Don Peddie edged Hargraves 2-1 in the number one encounter, but partner Pete MacGowan lost 5-3, and the best ball went to Framingham 3-2. Number six man Don Elbel trounced Whitney 6-5, but both Captain Watty Dickerman's match and the best ball were lost, 5-4 and 1 up respectively.

Ted Allis and Bob Paine gave Harvard its only sweep at seven and eight. Allis won 4-3, Paine 5-4, and the best ball went 4-2. George Waissbord-Solovieff won 4-3 at nine, while number ten man Ray Holtan lost 3-2. The best ball was halved.
